Isn’t it great if we can easily get what we want? Just think of what you want and snap! You will get it.

Is it possible? The answer is yes!

However, many circumstances prevent you from getting what you want. You may have read “The Secret” and follow its method consistently. You may think, and think, and think… But you still don’t get what you wish for. Why?

Let say you want to start a new business. You’re excited of its possibility. You strongly believe you will succeed and earn lots of money. You are full of confidence. You can imagine your business getting lots of happy customer.

At this moment, research showed that you immediately gathers lots of positive energy around you. This positive energy can move you toward achieving your dream.

However, you suddenly have these thought:

What if customer doesn’t like my product?

What if not many people come to my shop?

What if sales cannot cover expenses?

What if I cannot find good employee?

What if …

What if …

What if …

At this moment, research also showed that your previous positive energy suddenly disperses. Each of these negative thoughts pulls you back from achieving your dream. If you have 1 positive thought and 7 negative thoughts, which thought do you think has more power? Which direction you will be heading?

At first, I had a hard time grasping this idea. Think of only what we want? Never had negative thoughts?

What if (again!) unforeseen circumstances happen? Don’t we have to consider it? Don’t we have to prepare a backup plan? I once heard that optimistic people invent the airplane while pessimistic people invent the parachute. However, I slowly understand the power of focused and positive thought, without any negative thought at all.

Mr Ling and 512 Sichuan earthquake

Mr Ling is the founder of “Deep Level Communication” from Taiwan. On 12th May 2008, he was giving a talk in China. When the 512 earthquake in China Sichuan occurred, he knew many people need emotional counseling using his method, especially those who had lost their family.

Immediately, Mr Ling announced his intention. He wanted more than 50 DLC communicators (emotional counselor) from China, Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore to gather in Chengdu, Sichuan after 3 days.

However, someone told him, “It is impossible to gather so many people from different country in such a short time. They need time to apply for visa too.”

Mr Ling smiled and said, “I understand. I want them to gather in 3 days.”

Then another person told him, “It is impossible! We need to get authority approval for this mission. It takes more than 3 days for this.”

Mr Ling smiled and said, “I understand. I want them to gather in 3 days.”

Then another person told him, “Impossible! With this earthquake, many infrastructures are destroyed. We may experience many difficulties in getting there.”

Mr Ling smiled and said, “I understand. I want them to gather in 3 days.”

As you can see, Mr Ling only focused on what he wanted. He believed it strongly and didn’t allow any negative thought to enter his mind. Eventually, they managed to gather in Chengdu in 3 days. Their emotional counseling was very successful. Local government even gave them an appreciation gift.

Requirement for success

To make your dream come true, positive thought alone is not sufficient. You will always stumble and fail if you have negative “seed” in your heart, such as fear of loss. Consciously, you want success. But subconsciously or spiritually, you want to avoid it. Eventually, you keep attracting failures.

How to remove these negative “seeds”? Mr Ling’s Deep Level Communication (DLC) is a very effective method.

For now, you can try to think only good thoughts without any negative thoughts. Focus your energy on that positive thought. Make it stronger day by day. Never think of “what if” for a second. I believe this is a much better way to achieve our dream.

If you still experience failure, you may need to attend the DLC session to clear out your “seeds” which prevent you from achieving success.

Jack and Jim want to earn some money. They both have different plan for that.

Jack creates “something” that earns him 10 cents everyday. It may take 1 to 3 hours to create it. But when it’s completed, Jack gets 10 cents the next day, another 10 cents the day after, and so on. This 1 to 3 hour work keeps earning Jack 10 cents everyday, forever. So Jack creates one of this each day. After 30 days, Jack has 30 of these “something” that earn him $3 per day.

On the other hand, Jim finds a job with $1000 monthly salary. He works 8 hours a day for 5 days a week. At the end of the month, Jim receives his $1000 salary. The next month, Jim has to work again to get another $1000.

How will both Jim and Jack fare financially? Let’s do the math…

At the end of first month, Jim collects his $1000 salary. However, Jack only collects a total of $49.60. Poor Jack. He gets so little for the first month. Jack surely admires Jim’s $1000 salary. Now, if Jack stops creating that “something” that earns him 10 cents daily, he can only get $46.50 for the second month. So Jack continues to create one each day.

Now let’s see their monthly progress…

At the end of that year, Jim gets a total of $12000 while Jack gets a total of $6679.50. Note that for the last month, Jack gets $1085.00 which is higher than Jim’s monthly salary of $1000. That means, if Jack stops working, he still gets more money than Jim. Jack can relax at home while Jim still has to work 8 hours a day. Now, Jim really has to admire Jack for not having to work.

At the end of second year, Jack’s annual income exceeds Jim’s annual income. And after 10 years, Jack’s total earning is more than 5 times of Jim’s total earning. And the main point is, Jack can stop working anytime and still enjoys higher earning than Jim.

Now you may ask,

“Is this possible?”

Definitely!

So what is the “something” Jack does everyday to earn his daily 10 cents? It is creating website content and make money with Google Adsense advertisement. By just creating one page a day, Jack gradually build up his website to earn lots of money in the long run.

The projected number is in theory only. It’s not that you will get 10 cents tomorrow for the web page you create today. There will be ups and downs in your earning. But on average, you will see that pattern emerging. I’m also stating a very conservative number. A lot of web page is earning more than 10 cents a day on average.

Oppsss… I forgot to let you know the number’s currency is in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). So RM 0.10 a day is less than 3 cents USD a day. It’s not very hard to get this number. When your website gets more traffic, this average amount will shoot up beyond your expectation.

So which plan do you want to follow?

The good news is, you can have both! Continue doing your job while building your website in your free time. It’s best if you can create one page everyday. The problem is…

How long can you continue creating one web page per day?

How long can you keep going when you don’t see good income in the beginning?

Are you willing to learn how to build good website or blog?

As usual, you reap what you sow.

Are you a TV fan who couldn’t miss your daily prime time TV show? Be careful. You may be missing the prime time in your life.

Let say your prime time TV show starts from 8am to 10pm daily. So you use up 2 hours in front of your television daily. Here’s the calculation:

1 day – 2 hours
1 week – 14 hours
1 month – 60 hours
1 year – 730 hours

Assuming you work 8 hours a day in your daily job.

730 / 8 hours = 91 working days = 4 working months (5 days a week)

Think about that! By watching 2 hours of prime show everyday, you waste up to 4 months of your working time every year! What could you do in 4 months?

Robert Kiyosaki wrote, “What you do in your free time determines how successful you are in your life.”

And one of the former US president said, “If you often catch prime time TV show, you won’t have prime time in your life.”

Do you always envy wealthy and successful people? How about wishing you can be as pretty as the model shown on TV? Or wishing you could be as talented as your idol singer?

Well, before you envy those successful people, you must realize something.

We often judge people only from the surface, from what we see. When you see someone appearing graciously on stage or on TV, you must understand they may not be so ’shining’ as you think. Those successful people may also have their own worry and difficulty in life.

It’s not easy to be at the top. We have no idea of the difficulties they have gone through in their journey to the top. We have no idea how many times they have failed before they get there. And we have no idea how much they have to give before they get what they have today.

So, let them encourage you to become your best. Let us learn from what they have gone through. Learn from their spirit to be their best.

Don’t just sit there and envy them.

Just when I was about to create a new post, I browsed around other blogs through Google. And when I saw blogs with thousands of posts, I thought to myself, “My god… how am I going to have that much posts? When I have that much posts and those high traffic, I’ll be relaxing at home without having to work! When will that happen?”

Then I look at my blog. Oppsss… only two posts. Hmmm…..

Then, I recall the following words of wisdom:

A thousand mile journey begins with a single step – Chinese proverb

How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.

Do not compete yourself with others. It will be hard on you. Compete yourself against yourself. Make sure you improve each year – Robert Kiyosaki book

3 posts a day = 90 posts a month = 1095 posts a year = 10950 posts in 10 years

There you go… more than 10,000 posts in 10 years. I can retire by then

Hopefully, my math is correct. Here you go, my third posts….
