As mentioned, we visited Singapore Zoo last weekend. My last visit was 8 years ago during a school trip. So I didn’t recall much of what I saw back then. For now, I realize this zoo is quite big. Each animal group is separated quite far away. So we have to walk a long way to reach the next stop. You can choose to take the zoo transport though.

The ticket price is SGD 18 for adult. However, our relative got several free tickets from his company. We also brought our baby together with us. Before going, we wondered whether baby will look at the animals or the other way round. Here are some of our photos at Singapore Zoo.

Last weekend, we went to Singapore Marina Mandarin Hotel for a relative’s son birthday celebration. We had a buffet lunch at Aquamarine restaurant in this hotel. It has been several years since I was pampered with buffet meal in an elegant surrounding.

Of course, I didn’t forget to take some photos of this beautiful hotel. However, I had to use Panasonic FX36 point and shoot camera since it was too troublesome to bring the much bigger Nikon D60 SLR camera.

This morning we brought baby to Gunung Lambak recreation park for the second time.  It was 10:30am with bright sun shinning. As usual, I shot some photos with my Nikon D60 camera. The advantage of shooting outdoor photo is the bright surrounding. I can use ISO 100 for all photos and the shutter speed is still high enough.

Here are some of the photos taken.

Genting Highlands plan

Genting Highlands plan

We just came back from a short trip to Genting Highlands. It is the only casino in Malaysia. Therefore, its main attraction is of course, gambling. Some like the cold climate at this highland, ranging from 15 to 25 °C. But I find it very cold.

I mostly follow my wife’s relative to Genting Highlands. Since I don’t gamble, I often find it boring over there. But with my new Nikon D60 digital camera, at least I have something to do – taking photos. Here are some photos I took over there.

Gunung lambak pathway

Gunung Lambak pathway

This morning, baby went to Gunung Lambak (Mount Pile) recreation area for a walk. The sky was getting dark when we arrived. I carried baby up this pathway, took some photo and walked down quickly. Soon it started to rain lightly.

Previously, my wife walked through this pathway several times when she was pregnant. Light exercise is important for smooth labor. So I would accompany my wife to come over here for some walk. Therefore, baby should be quite familiar with this place.

In my small hometown Kluang, Gunung Lambak (Mountain Lambak) is our only recreational area. Local folks come over here to climb this hill for exercise. They also enjoy its fresh air and nice scenery. Once a while, wild monkey and squirrel can be seen too.

So let’s begin our journey. Here we come, Gunung Lambak!
