He mentioned that basically, we are water. So show more love and appreciation to water around us. Hopefully, this will make Earth a better place. Overall, I would say this seminar touched us emotionally. Here’s are some photos taken during Dr Emoto seminar.

For this trip, Dr Emoto went to 3 cities in Taiwan and 2 cities in Malaysia before coming to Singapore. He was invited by Mr Ling, the founder for “Deep Level Communication” from Taiwan. For Dr Emoto, this is his record breaking trip. For these 6 cities, more than 10,000 people attended. The record number is at Kuala Lumpur with 3200 participants. Dr Emoto previous record was 2800 participants for one talk.

Marina Mandarin Hotel was built with great design in mind. You can see elegant decoration and design in every corner. The huge empty space in the middle is surrounded by hotel rooms. And the external elevator moves up and down to transport people between these rooms. Enjoy the spacious environment accompanied by the elevator’s gentle movement.

Hmmm… I’m hungry! Let’s go get some food at the Aquamarine buffet restaurant. As its name suggests, this restaurant is designed around the theme of marine world. You will see light and clear design everywhere. However, don’t expect to see prawn, crab and other seafood being served here.

The food was good (I’m easily satisfied with food) although the service was slightly slow when we ordered our drink. Maybe it was due the crowded people in that Saturday noon. Overall, I really enjoyed this buffet lunch.

For any buffet meal, just remember not to eat too full. You may want to “eat back your money” but at the end, you’re ruining your health.

7 years ago, she used her Olympus C-50 point and shoot digital camera for all her flower shooting. 1 year ago, she used her Panasonic FX36 camera. And now, she used my Nikon D60 SLR camera. How does this 3 different cameras compare? Let’s check out.

The lightning was quite poor. I have resized and adjusted the brightness level of these photos using Photoshop for easy comparison. As you can see from this photo comparison, the image quality difference is very significant. Nikon D60 SLR camera produces sharper image with more details and more accurate color.

To capture the better quality image, investing in digital SLR camera is well worth it. Here are the cropped images showing the actual size.

Happiest moment in life

In November last year, we did a balloon wedding decoration for my wife’s friend. The venue was at Kim Wah Loon restaurant in Kluang. Previously, we did this balloon decoration for our relatives’ wedding. Then, some friends asked us to decorate for them too. Gradually, we started to do this as part time.

My wife is in charge of flower decoration. Her cousin, Johnny is in charge of the balloon. Me? I’m just helping a bit here and there. Before this, our balloon decoration was rather messy. There was no spiral design. But now, it looks a bit more like professional.

Smile!

It’s very hard to capture baby’s smiling moment. Occasionally, our baby smiles or even laughs while sleeping. But it only lasts for 2 seconds. And for the first time, I managed to shoot one baby smiling photo while he was lying on my lap.

When baby smiles, we smile too.

First photo is taken with Panasonic FX36 while the second one with my new Nikon D60.

This is an unfair comparison. D60 surely beats FX36 hands down in photo quality. But this is what I want to know. How much better D60 is. I assume dSLR produces far better photo quality compared to Point and Shoot camera. So let’s see how much better it is.

This morning, I had a bowl of noodle with broccoli, tomato, carrot and mushroom. What a healthy breakfast! My wife prepared this for my breakfast because we have no more bread to eat. I wish we don’t have bread everyday

Before eating the noodle, I took a few shots using D60 and FX36 for comparison. The room is not very bright. And I set both camera to ISO-100 to compare the best picture quality. So the image is slightly darker. This don’t bother me much before we only want the comparison.

I resized and cropped both photos with Adobe Photoshop. However there is no adjustment in brightness, contrast and level. Both are saved in JPEG high quality mode.

From both photos above, you can clearly see the difference. D60 produces clearer photo with richer color compared to FX36. Now, let’s see the pixel level comparison for both photos…

Here, you can clearly see FX36 photo has a lot of noise while D60 photo is virtually noise-free. Both photo are taken at 2.5 mega pixels.

It’s pretty clear dSLR produces much better images than P&S camera. However, it’s also amazing how a compact camera can give such a photo quality with its small form factor.

So if you’re thinking of whether to buy dSLR or P&S camera, the decision is simple. Choose dSLR for quality. Choose P&S for portability.

FX36 - Compact and easy to use

A year ago, I bought a Panasonic FX36 point and shoot digital camera for my wife’s birthday present. This replaced her old and sluggish Olympus digital camera.

At first, I was thinking of buying an entry level digital SLR for her. But the operation complexity and bulkiness of dSLR didn’t suit her. So I opted for point and shoot digital camera instead for operation simplicity and compact size.

She could put the FX36 in her handbag and carry it everywhere she goes. Whenever seeing something she likes, she just takes out the camera, point and shoot. She often takes photo of flower design and indoor decoration for her design reference. Therefore, my choice for P&S digital camera proved useful for my wife.

I myself is not an artistic type of person. I have not much interest in photography either. On the other hand, my sister loves photography. She invested a lot of time and money in her digital SLR and lenses. Currently she uses Nikon D80 with a collection of 5 lenses.

Seeing her photo makes mine look inferior, especially during these few days when we took many baby photos. How I wish to take great photo for my baby. Therefore, I decide to invest in my own digital SLR camera. My first choice would be the entry level dSLR Nikon D60. I should be buying it these few days.
