One day when I was 6 years old, I woke up from my afternoon nap and cried sadly. I went to my dad in the kitchen and told him, “Dad, I don’t want to die!”

My dad smiled and said, “Don’t worry son. We won’t die so soon.”

Just when I am feeling joyous for my new born baby, I received a call from my ex-classmate this morning. I thought he wanted to wish me Happy Chinese New Year. But no, he did not. Instead, he delivered a shocking news – my another ex-classmate’s wife just died.

“HUH!!??” was my response. It was a road accident in highway. My ex-classmate whose wife died, had a few stitches on his head. And he forgot what happened.

His wife was in her early 30s. Young and pretty with bright future ahead, she suddenly left this world. How would her husband feel? How would her parents feel? And how would her parents-in-law feel?

Please accept my condolences…
