Can you imagine how loud baby screamed?

A new smile

As people says, growing new teeth can be very uncomfortable for baby. For our baby, he had fever for 1 day, without much appetite for milk. Instead, he prefer eating cooked oat.

He also drooled more for a few days. And on the day of his fever, his saliva was quite smelly. But after the fever, he returned to normal again.

We didn’t bring baby to see doctor. He went through it naturally. We just applied some wet towel on his forehead, hug him more and accompany him patiently.

In this video, baby even said “daddy” several times. Unfortunately, he hasn’t learn to say “mummy”.

Right now, our baby is used to having people hugging him and playing with him. So it is very hard for us to let baby on his own. We have cultivated this habit for baby since he was small. And we can hardly change it now.

I know some people would let baby on their own since small. They would avoid hugging or carrying baby around. They would also avoid playing or talking with baby. They only do 4 things to baby: feed her, bath for her, let her poop and let her sleep. This frees them to do their work. So if you’re a busy person and need to take care of your baby, remember to follow this method.

However, I wonder whether this is good for baby’s growth in the long term. For my wife and me, we seem to have no choice now. Baby’s habit has been formed. So we have to keep ourself busy with baby. Anyway, we try to let baby become more independant whenever we can.

The ticket price is SGD 18 for adult. However, our relative got several free tickets from his company. We also brought our baby together with us. Before going, we wondered whether baby will look at the animals or the other way round. Here are some of our photos at Singapore Zoo.

What are you looking at?

 The Singapore Zoo is so big we only visited about 60% of its point of attraction. If you want to visit it, remember to arrive early in the morning to have enough time for your visit. Don’t miss their animal show too. Each show will be performed two to three times in a day at a pre-scheduled time. The sea lion show is quite interesting.

Overall, Singapore Zoo is clean, tidy and spacious. This is a good place for a relaxing stroll with your family. There are many resting area, toilet and mini shop selling drink and ice cream. You can also see different kind of flowers over there.

6 months old

At a blink of my eyes, baby is 6 months old now. Time flies. At one time, I didn’t take much baby photo because there wasn’t anything new from baby. Maybe I didn’t take the effort to find new stuff from baby.

Now at 6 months old, baby movement is more agile. His hand could grab anything within its reach in a second. He could even squeeze your hand until you scream out loud! If he managed to grab anything, he would put it into his mouth.

Baby can also turn around quickly. While lying on bed, he could push his body forward and backward. And he always change his position while sleeping. He even fell down twice from our 2-feet-high bed and once from our 2-feet-high sofa. Luckily (or strangely), he was not injured. There was no bump on his head.

Milk milk time

A few weeks ago, we bought a baby walker for baby. Initially we went to Anakku outlet in Kluang. However we found it too expensive although the design and plastic looked low grade.

Eventually, we bought a Sweet Cherry baby walker cum rocker from Jusco Mid Valley in KL, at RM 180+. This one has better plastic and solid design. The toy tray has simple and clean design too.

After buying the new camera lens, we went straight to Jusco Bukit Indah, Johor Bahru for shopping. This was my chance to test out the new lens to see how it performs.

On this trip, I finally found the baby room at ground floor. Indeed, it was one of the best and biggest baby room in Malaysia and even Singapore. There are even two rooms for breastfeeding.

Our baby is 4 months old now. Time flies. Now baby can turn around on his own. So we have to be extra careful watching him. He starts to grab thing with his hand. And he can grab our finger until no blood goes through.

Here is another baby singing session with daddy’s help. This time, the tempo is faster. Even baby finds it funny himself.
